Aki S. Norton

Aki Norton’s work focuses on the raw and inherent beauty of the human being.  Her working method focuses on understanding and connecting with the model to find their truest form of expression.  The result is an honest and powerful expression.  

Aki held her first figurative photography show “Our Beauty” in Yoh Gallery, Tokyo, Japan in 2019. She also curates shows revolving around Zen arts and does translation for and assists with tours at Zen temples to help share and explain the concepts of Zen.

Aki’s work and education background is diverse.  She studied philosophy at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and has a degree in Sociology from Asia Pacific University.  She worked in public relations for Organic Wine company Mavie in Akasaka, Tokyo, and was a project manager at the International Foundation for Gastrointestinal Disorders, a medical foundation in the US.
